Doctor K was a New York icon, helping the New York Mets to a World Series title in 1986, and while for the New York Yankees pitching a no-hitter and winning another World Series title in 1996. This Rawlings 1995 Pro 201-3J model glove was used by Gooden during this time when he began his Yankee career. While Gooden did not play in 1995, this glove was likely used in 1996, his first season with the Yankees. The outer thumb has "Doc #11" embroidered and is signed boldly in blue marker "To Mike Best Wishes Doc Gooden." However, the signature is somewhat faded.
