This stunning, oversized wooden artwork of The Who by the famed artist Steve Sax previously hung in the New York City Hard Rock Cafe and is purported to have also hung tin the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This historic artwork shows Roger Daltrey posed with a microphone, John Entwistle playing the bass, Keith Moon rocking out on his drum set, and Pete Townshend strumming an actual, full sized (albeit stringless) Rok Axe electric guitar. Townsend measures a sky-scraping 4 x 6 feet, with the Chiswick native’s arm able to move in his trademark windmill fashion. Sax, a protege of the noted pop artist Red Grooms, also created artwork for Mickey Mantle’s New York City restaurant and the National Baseball Hall of Fame. This gigantic wooden artwork is in great condition and would make an absolutely peerless display piece. Please Note: Shipping will be higher than usual due to the size of the piece.
