Former American League Rookie of the Year and AL MVP Jose Canseco was traded by the Texas Rangers to the Boston Red Sox in December of 1994 for Otis Nixon and Luis Ortiz. Canseco, along with Mo Vaughn, provide the middle of the order punch the Red Sox needed as they surprised many people by winning the AL East crown. Canseco played 102 games in the shortened post-strike 1995 season, where he hit 24 home runs and had 81 RBI, while maintaining a solid .306 average. Canseco used this Mizuno World Win model bat circa 1995. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. The upper handle/lower barrel area has a moderate coating of pine tar and Canseco has signed this bat in black marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19185) for the game use and a COA from JSA for the signature.
