Jim Rice, the eight-time Boston Red Sox All-Star, used this Louisville Slugger R206 model bat during the 1981-83 seasons where he averaged 27 home runs, 95 RBI and a solid .301 average. Rice, in 1983, led the AL in home runs (39) and RBI (126). Rice, who spent his entire career in Boston, was elected to baseball’s Hall of Fame in 2009. This bat displays excellent game use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and slight checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel. Rice’s number “14” is handwritten in black marker on the knob. A great gamer from one the most powerful hitters to don a Red Sox uniform. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19184) for the game use.
