Offered in this lot is an incredibly rare Michael Jordan batting practice home run baseball from before a March 12th, 1994 Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers spring training game at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida. Jordan developed into a fine hitter in his lone Minor League Baseball season, hitting three regular season home runs with 51 RBI, 17 doubles, and 30 stolen bases as a 31-year old more than a decade removed from his previous baseball experience.

The baseball included in this lot is a Rawlings baseball with a “Spring Training” stamp replacing the stamped signature of the League president. The ball shows wear consistent with use during batting practice. This baseball is accompanied by numerous supporting documents, including a 1994 Chicago White Sox media guide signed by Jerry Reinsdorf and “Chicken Willie” Thompson, the famed White Sox clubhouse manager in black pen. Additionally, a ticket from the game is included, as well as photographs of the ball’s original recipient with Jordan, Reinsdorf and Thompson, and Frank Thomas. This item comes with a Letter of Provenance and a LOA from the original recipient.
