Offered is a full ticket to the 1965 rematch World Championship Heavyweight Fight between Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston, the well known “phantom punch” fight. After Ali (then Cassius Clay) TKOd Liston in 1964, this fight was scheduled (and cancelled) several times, until all parties agreed to the May 25, 1965 fight in Lewistown, ME, with Maine being the only state wanting to host the fight. With the remote location (and a seating capacity of around 3,700), it was the lowest attended Heavyweight title fight in history. This full ticket measures 2.25” x 5.25” and is the Gold color variation. It has been boldly signed in black sharpie “Muhammad Ali” just below the image of the champion. It has been graded and encapsulated by PSA MINT 9.
