Offered in this lot is a game used baseball from the 1996 World Series between the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees. Derek Jeter made his World Series debut in 1996, helping lead the Yankees to a six-game victory over the Braves for the first of his five career World Series titles. John Wetteland earned World Series MVP honors after saving each of New York’s four victories in the Fall Classic. Andruw Jones became the youngest player in MLB history to hit a home run in the postseason during the 1996 World Series with home runs in his first two Fall Classic at-bats. This baseball is printed with “1996 World Series” in red lettering in addition to a 1996 World Series stamp. This baseball comes with a Steiner Sports hologram.
