Graded GD 2 by SGC. Hall of Famer. In 1911, the advertising efforts of General Baking Co. yielded several identical 25-card productions. Five different G.B.C. brands were involved in this insert card promotion; among this group, the offered example was issued with a loaf of Brunners Bread. Due to the very limited geography of their distribution, these Brunners Bread cards are intensely scarce (as are the cards from any of the issue's four other sponsors). This highly appealing specimen, with its very bright illustration, stands as an ideal representative of its type. A small, superficial disturbance affects the player's first name in the card's caption. Good condition.
