Offered in this lot is a rare pair of black Adidas “Kobe PS Option 1” developmental sneakers created in April of 2002. Bryant, disappointed by the efforts of Adidas regarding his Kobe II sneakers, left the German company after the 2002 NBA season in a historic sneaker free agency. Eventually, Bryant signed with Nike and became the most popular NBA sneaker-seller since Michael Jordan. These offered Adidas Kobe PS Option 1 sneakers were likely a design by Adidas to be used as Bryant’s flagship shoe in the 2002-03 NBA season as noted by the manufacture tag stating a creation date of April 5th, 2002. The black sneakers are in great condition.
