Offered in this lot is an unreleased factory wear test sample pair of the Adidas Kobe III sneakers. Bryant, feeling let down by the Adidas Kobe II, left Adidas at the end of the 2001-02 NBA season, before the release of the Kobe III. With the former Lower Merion High School star soon to join Nike, Adidas were left in the lurch with these Kobe III sneakers. The sneakers look like an evolution of the Kobe II, with a similarly futuristic shape and aerodynamic lines. Kobe’s silhouette is present on the heels. These unreleased sneakers come with a factory style wear test tag dated to March 20th, 2002.
