With Sandy Koufax going 25 – 5 and Don Drysdale winning 19 games, the 1963 Dodgers lineup needed only to score an early run and let the pitchers do the rest. Maury Wills, Frank Howard, Junior Gilliam, Willie Davis, John Roseboro, all Boys of Summer who swept the Yankees in the 1963 World Series. This unique piece is a pendant made from a World Series Victors ring from that year. The front side of the circular pendant is the ring’s original oval with “Los Angeles World Champs” circling a blue stone. On the reverse is a triangle with “1963,” “4” with ‘Straight’ stamped across its beam, the scores of the four games running vertically along the sides (5/2, 4/1, 1/0, 2/1) and a baseball scripted with “Dodgers” across it. An LOA from Jay Bongiovanni of On the Ball Sports Cards accompanies this item.
