Third baseman Josh Donaldson joined the Atlanta Braves for the 2019 season, where he appeared in 155 games hitting 37 home runs and driving in 94 to help lead Atlanta to the NL Eastern Division title and the playoffs. It was Donaldson’s first full season back after two injury-plagued seasons that saw him limited to 113 games in 2017 and only 52 in 2018. Donaldson once again showcased his power that made him the 2015 American League MVP.
Offered here is a Marucci NA28 model bat that was used by Donaldson during the 2019 season. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. Donaldson’s number “20” has been stamped on the knob, along with the bat’s manufacture date “06/27/19”. The knob has a ring of tape to enhance the grip and there is a mark visible on the handle that identifies the grain which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since January 2009. Donaldson has signed this bat in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “GU 19”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19238) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5.
