Graded GEM MINT 9.5 by BGS. Hall of Famer. This elite collectible was produced to honor its subject's participation in the 2012 London Olympic Games, wherein the United States Men's Basketball Team successfully defended its 2008 title and emerged victorious to claim the Gold Medal.
Kobe was a clear leader of the USA team, and he lived up to this role both on and off the court. No one knew how special Kobe was, and how important he was to USA Basketball, better than Coach K, who recently reflected on how critical Mamba was to USA Basketball's winning culture: "Kobe was the key guy in building the continuity of culture for those 11 years that I coached. And his relationship with LeBron was the key. Those two guys were magnificent together." Kobe truly defined redemption for USA Basketball, as he willed the team back to undeniable world dominance.
