Fresh off his overall No. 1 selection by the NY Jets in the 1965 AFL draft, rookie Joe Namath is all smiles fronting the glitz, glitter and glamour of Broadway on the cover of this July 19, 1965 SI, titled Football Goes Show Biz. Namath's rookie year earned him a trip to the Pro Bowl, and began a three-year ascension to the pinnacle of football, when the Jets beat the Colts in Superbowl III. Namath has signed and inscribed the cover, My best! Broadway Joe Namath 12, in bold, black Sharpie (grade 10), across the image's torso. The signature comes with a COA from James Spence Authenticators (#E59205).
