Graded 40 VG 3 by SGC. Hall of Famer, in an exotic Rookie Card appearance. This impossibly scarce piece hails from the 1946-47 Propagandas Montiel "Los Reyes Del DePorte" ("Sporting Kings") release, an obscure Cuban issue that contained a wealth of multi-sports and non-sports subjects. These elusive and delicate cards (approximately 2-1/8" x 3-1/8") honored a number of major league greats – as well as boxers, wrestlers, Florida International League ballplayers and Cuban Leaguers – through black-and-white photo likenesses printed on thin paper stock. Three-time N.L. MVP Stan Musial is featured on this fascinating collectible. The star's image graces the obverse, and the back bears fully legible, Spanish-language text describing his career. The reverse also reveals much less of the customary surface disturbance from album mounting than is routinely expected on one of these fragile collectibles. A key entry in a seldom-encountered overseas release, in Very Good condition.
