The year “1995” was the official changing of the guard for the New York Yankees.  During the season all four members of the famed core four made their Major League debuts including Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera.  This was also the final season for manager Buck Showalter and veteran captain Don Mattingly.

This impressive lot consists of a dozen (12) 1995 Team signed Official American League Gene A. Budig baseballs.  Eight of the baseballs feature 23 signatures, while two of the baseballs feature 22 signatures, and one includes 20 signatures and one with 11 signatures.  All but one of the baseballs in the collection includes signatures of Hall of Famers Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera during their debut seasons.  Most of the baseballs include Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada during their debut seasons as well.  The baseballs also feature a combination of the likes of Hall of Famer Wade Boggs, Don Mattingly, Jimmy Key, Paul O’Neill, Jim Leyritz, David Cone, Willie Randolph, Buck Showalter, Bernie Williams and many others.  The baseballs have some very minor toning present, while others have some high-grade signatures and a combination of others with some bleeding.  The lot originates from the collection of Gene “Stick” Michael who was the Yankees general manager in 1995 and is often credited for building the Yankees core four.  This entire lot has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
