Chicago Cubs slugger Kris Bryant capped off his 2015 National League Rookie of the Year campaign by hitting his 26th and final home run of the 2015 season on September 22nd. This home run also set the Cubs franchise record for most home runs in a single season by a rookie. Bryant’s home run, which also the 26th home run of his career, took Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Tyler Cravy deep to left center field during the Cubs 4-0 victory at Wrigley Field. Bryant’s Marucci KB17-2 Custom Cut-M model bat displays heavy game use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and bat rack streaks present on the barrel. There is a moderate coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel, along with additional pine tar on the lower handle.

The knob has the bat’s manufacture date “09/02/15”, Bryant’s number “17” and length “4” and weight “1” stamped. Also, on the knob is “KB17-2” and “34-30.9” that has been handwritten in black marker. Bryant’s number “17” is also handwritten in silver marker on the cupped barrel end. A tremendous historical bat that has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching to Bryant’s historic home run hit on September 22nd and have provided a LOA. This bat also comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JB097196), which authenticates that Bryant used this bat for the final time during the September 25th game against the Pittsburgh Pirates when he cracked this bat against Pirates pitcher Gerrit Cole in the bottom of the first inning.
