Encapsulated and graded MINT 9 by BGS, with signature graded "9" by Beckett. NBA superstar LeBron James has penned a vivid, blue ink signature (adding his jersey number) on the obverse of this desirable collectible. Its cardfront presentation also incorporates a tri-color, game worn jersey patch relic.
In proximity to his splendid signature, LeBron has placed a special, detailed inscription. His penmanship reads, "08-09 NBA MVP." This notation – referencing the season of the first of the four such awards he's won to date – was rendered to celebrate that accomplishment, and the card featured prominently in UD's advertising promotions of the period. The piece remains the only card the great athlete has ever inscribed for Upper Deck. The very significant "MVP" scripting assures this high-profile collectible's status as a pure "1 of 1" showpiece.
The card's BGS condition report: Centering: 9.5, Corners: 8.5, Edges: 9, Surface: 9. A statement on the card's back attests to the authenticity of the signature and the genuineness of the patch component, and serves as Upper Deck’s COA. The limited-edition piece is serial-numbered "08/50." Mint condition.
