Hall of Famer. These two postcards are products of a 1960s endorsement relationship between the Aamco Transmissions auto-repair company and NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain. Although the unused, color-photo postcards of the basketball great can technically stand alone, the creativity inherent in the 6" x 9" items' design is only fully apparent when they're viewed as a pair. The likeness of Chamberlain, the 7'1" superstar who was then at the top of his game with the Philadelphia 76ers, has been divided into two sections which between them cover the spread of both postcards' length. Their backs' advertising text starts on one card and concludes on the other, also. Reinforcing the pieces' scarcity is the fact that the ad pieces are targeted toward Aamco retailers, not customers, indicating very limited distribution. The pair's "bottom" card is about EX, with the top half slightly lesser.
