The second item in this collection is a two-page handwritten letter from Cobb to Cy Jones in green pen, dated “10/28/52” on 7¼ x 10½-inch white letterhead. The letterhead, in blue type, reads “Tyrus R. Cobb Glenbrook, Douglas County Nevada”. In the letter, Cobb asks Jones, an executive at ballpark concessionaire Harry M. Stevens, “I want to know the firm name and address of company that provides Stevens with “hot dogs” they have the best I have ever tried…” The two-page letter, which was folded in thirds, is accompanied by a 4 x 7½-inch white letterhead envelope addressed to “Mr. “Cy” Jones c/o Harry M. Stevens Inc.”.

The third item in this collection is a three-page handwritten letter from Cob to Cy Jones in green pen, dated “6/23/54” on 7¼ x 10½-inch white letterhead. The letterhead, in blue type, reads “Tyrus R. Cobb Glenbrook, Douglas County Nevada”. In the letter, Cobb again requests the address for the hot dog supplier, as he lost it, and, ironically, responds to Jones’ question about a Cobb autobiography. “…I have had offers to write one myself and thought by this time I would have accepted…but books on our life + experiences especially in baseball are so provocative the only reason I would consider such is to correct so many things that has been printed…” The three-page letter, which was folded in thirds, is accompanied by a 4 x 7½-inch white letterhead envelope addressed to “Mr. “Cy” Jones c/o Harry M. Stevens Inc.”. The fourth item in this collection is a typewritten letter from Cy Jones to Ty Cobb on 8½ x 11-inch white onionskin paper, dated June 29, 1954. In the letter, Jones tells Cobb that he has personally sent a case of hot dogs directly to him, and provides the address for the supplier, Stahl-Meyers, Inc. in New York, New York. The typed letter was folded in thirds for mailing and has a small tear in the upper left corner from a staple that was removed, and a small wrinkle in the lower left margin. This collection comes with individual LOAs from JSA for Cobb's signatures.
