The New York Yankees won 114 games during the 1998 regular season on their way to another World Series title in the franchise’s storied history. Starting pitcher David Wells – who was phenomenal that season, recording an 18-4 record – provided the Yankees with their most thrilling moment of the regular season on May 17, 1998. Facing the Minnesota Twins at home, Wells pitched a perfect game – 27 up, 27 down – while striking out 11 batters in New York’s 4-0 win. The 120-pitch perfecto moved Wells to 5-1 on the early season and was the 13th perfect game of the World Series era – which has since grown to 21. Offered here is a pristine “LOU GEHRIG LOGE #10” ticket from Wells’ 1998 perfect game. This luxury suite ticket has “1998 NEW YORK YANKEES” printed on the top in red with “vs.” in blue and “MINNESOTA SUN., MAY 17, 1998 1:35P.M.” printed in black below. “LOU GEHRIG LOGE #10” is in black inside a white box with blue borders and “Luxury Suites” is italicized in red on the bottom. A very rare suite level ticket, in GEM MINT condition. This ticket has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA (09023751) and has been graded a GEM MINT 10.
