Presented is a concrete piece from Ebbets Field with a limited edition “A Field in Flatbush” color lithograph signed by artist Bill Levers in a framed display. The reddish-brown piece of concrete, approximately 2 x 3-inches, is raised from the bottom center of the glass display approximately ¼ -inch. Across the bottom, incorporating the concrete, is printed the legend “An Authentic Piece of Baseball History” in blue type. The display is dominated by Levers painting of Ebbets Field from the outside of the stadium, with two 1950s-era cars parked at the corner in front of the ballpark and pedestrians on the sidewalk. The litho is signed by the artist in gray graphite pencil in the lower right. The litho is inscribed in gray graphite pencil “A Field in Flatbush” in the lower center, and “”Field of Dreams” Edition” at the left center. The print is also inscribed in gray graphite pencil “1126/1957”. The 22 x 24-inch lithograph is displayed in a 24½ x 26½-inch black wood with glass frame. The Ebbets Field concrete “chunk” is glued to the glass at the lower center. Levers, born in Philadelphia, was a gifted painter of city scenes and people. He captures in this painting the lost playground of the Brooklyn Dodgers, their home from 1913 to 1957.
