This offered 34-inch, bat features the Hillerich & Bradsby 40 LG stamped label with the barrel containing a scripted Lou Gehrig facsimile signature. The barrel reveals no deadwood but has several deep indentations.  There is a large section of the reverse of the barrel that has come off. The knob has the size “34” deeply stamped. Store model bats were produced by these companies to allow young children and sandlot players to use similar bats as their heroes. The bigger the star, the more desirable is the bat. This is a very nice, well-conditioned example of a Lou Gehrig store model.
