The 1943 Yankees amassed a 98-56 regular season record, easily winning the American League by 13 ½ games over the Washington Senators en route to five-game World Series victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Offered in this lot is a stunning commemorative black bat bearing the facsimile signatures of the 1943 Yankees players engraved on the bat. There is also text that reads “NEW YORK YANKEES WORLD CHAMPIONS 1943” in faded green on the bat. The player names and the inscription are rendered in gold and faded green ink.
