After losing in heart-breaking fashion to their bitter rivals, the New Giants, in the 1951 National League pennant series capped off by Bobby Thomson’s “Shot Heard Round The World”, the 1952 Brooklyn Dodgers rebounded to win the National League, only to lose a hard-fought seven game series to cross-town rivals the New York Yankees. Offered in this lot is a stunning commemorative black bat bearing the facsimile signatures of the 1952 Dodgers players engraved on the bat. There is also text that reads “BROOKLYN DODGERS NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 1952” in faded green on the bat. The player names and the inscription are rendered in gold and faded green ink.
