Presented is a Derek Jeter signed “The Dive” photograph in a framed display. The Hall of Fame New York Yankees shortstop has signed his name in silver marker in the center of the 16 x 20-inch color photograph reproduction print of Jeter diving into the stands on the third base line to field a ball. The famous Yankees moment occurred on July 1, 2004 at Yankee Stadium. In the 12th inning of a tie game against the Red Sox, Trot Nixon popped up down the left field line. Jeter, in a dead sprint from his shortstop position, made an over the shoulder catch. He had so much momentum that he launched himself over the railing and ended up two rows deep. He emerged with a cut on his chin and blood running from his cheek. The Yankees went on to win the game in the bottom of the 13th inning on a John Flaherty single, 5-4. The signed photo print is mounted in the upper center of a black matte with navy-blue and white accents. Below the photo is a pair of interlocking “NY” logos at the lower left and right corners, carved out of the matte to expose the silver background. At the lower center is the legend “’The Dive’” also carved out of the matte to expose the silver background. The signed photo and matte are displayed in a 26½ x 30½-inch black plastic with glass frame. This item comes with a COA from Steiner and an MLB Authenticated hologram (MT00568410).
