The first item in this lot is a Joe DiMaggio signature on an Official American League Bobby Brown baseball. The Hall of Fame Yankees centerfielder has signed his name in blue pen on the sweet spot. DiMaggio was a three-time Most Valuable Player Award winner and an All-Star in each of his 13 seasons. During his tenure with the Yankees (1936-1951), the club won 10 American League pennants and nine World Series championships. The second item in this lot is a Mickey Mantle signature on an OAL Brown baseball. The Hall of Fame New York Yankees centerfielder has signed his name in blue pen on the sweet spot. Mantle played alongside DiMaggio in his rookie season, 1951, and succeeded the “Yankee Clipper” in centerfield upon DiMaggio’s retirement before the 1952 season. Mantle won the Triple Crown in 1956, when he led the major leagues in batting average (.353), home runs (52), and RBI (130). He was an All-Star for 16 seasons, playing in 16 of the 20 All-Star Games that were played during his career. He was the AL MVP three times.
