Presented is a New York Islanders team-signed Stanley Cup victory photograph with nine signatures in a framed display. The 16 x 20-inch color photo depicts members of the New York Islanders holding the Stanley Cup over their heads in victory at the conclusion of a successful National Hockey League championship final. In the photo, Islanders captain Denis Potvin hoists the Stanley Cup after winning the 1982 Stanley Cup Finals against the Vancouver Canucks at the Pacific Coliseum on May 16, 1982 in Vancouver, accompanied by his triumphant teammates. The signatures in the upper half of the photo, all in blue marker, include Potvin, Dave Langevin, Clark Gillies, John Tonelli, Billy Smith, Bryan Trottier, Mike Bossy and Bob Nystrom. The Islanders won the best-of-seven series, four games to none, to win their third consecutive and overall Stanley Cup championship. This is also the most recent time that a Stanley Cup Champion has won three in a row and the first, and so far, only, time that a U.S.-based team has won three straight Stanley Cups. The multi-signed photo is mounted in a white matte with black accent and displayed in a 22 x 26-inch black wood with glass frame. This item comes with a COA from Steiner.
