It took a while but the Baseball Writers Association of America finally got around to electing 287-game winner Bert Blyleven to the Hall of Fame in his penultimate 14th year on the ballot in 2011. Owner of one of the greatest curveballs in the game, Blylevens 3,701 strikeouts rank 5th on the all-time list and his 60 shutouts rank 9th, one behind Tom Seaver and Nolan Ryan. This pair of size 13 Nike Air cleats was worn by Blyleven some time toward the end of his 22-year career in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Shiny black leather shoes contain white Nike swoosh on the sides, with Nike Air labels on top of tongue flaps and show extensive game use with dry rotted rubber separating the shoes from the soles. Blyleven signed both shoes on the back heels in thick white marker; comes with full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity for the signatures.
