The Hall of Fame shooting guard Kobe Bryant wore this pair of Adidas sneakers during the seventh game of his NBA career, a tilt with the San Antonio Spurs at the Alamodome on November 13th, 1996. Bryant, recently selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the 13th pick of the 1996 NBA Draft out of Philadelphia’s Lower Merion High School, came off the bench for the Lakers in the game against San Antonio, scoring six points in Los Angeles’ 95-83 loss. Bryant made his only three-point attempt of the game and recorded the first steal of his NBA career in this game. Bryant played in 71 games in his rookie season, starting six, as he began an incredible 20-season run in the NBA. With career averages of 25.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, Bryant was posthumously inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020.
This offered pair of Adidas sneakers are black and white, with a silver Adidas logo sewn on each toe. Black Adidas logos are present on the silver tongues. The shoes are a size 13.5. Bryant has signed the midsole of each shoe in black marker, signing his full name and adding a number “8” inscription to each signature. Bryant also wrote “To Tony” before each signature. The shoes come with a LOA from MEARS, an LOA from Beckett Authentication Services, and a Letter of Provenance from the original recipient of the shoes.
