Not many ballplayers can come back from a ruptured hamstring, but in 1969 that's exactly what Harmon Killebrew did. In fact, The Killer didn't just return to the lineup, but he made 1969 the best season of his career by leading the AL in home runs, RBI and on base percentage. His return to the Twins helped take them into the post season and when the dust settled, Killebrew was the league’s Most Valuable Player. It was the crowning achievement of a 22-year career that would take Killebrew all the way to Cooperstown.

This offered Hillerich & Bradsby S207 model bat was used by Harmon Killebrew and has been dated to the 1969-1972 seasons. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue bat rack streaks and cleat imprints present on the barrel. The handle has a heavy coating of pine tar and the bat’s model number “S207” has been stamped on the knob. Also on the knob is Killebrew’s number “3”, which has been handwritten in black marker. Per PSA/DNA “This Harmon Killebrew professional model bat displays outstanding player characteristics that include Killebrew’s distinctive pine tar application and knob notation featuring his uniform number and weight of bat.” The late great Hall of Famer has signed his name in bold black marker on the barrel between the center branding and his stamped signature. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B02477) for the game use and has been given the highest possible grade of GU 10. There is also a LOA from JSA for the signature.
