Dustin Pedroia was in the prime of his career when he wielded this Louisville Slugger S318 model bat during the 2010 season. Pedroia had already won the AL Rookie of the Year in 2007, along with the 2007 World Series title and 2008 AL MVP, easily becoming one of the fan favorites at Fenway Park. Pedroia’s bat displays outstanding game use with a crack on the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. There is a heavy coating of pine tar on the handle and there is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009. The cupped barrel end has Pedroia’s number “15” handwritten in silver marker and the knob has the bat’s manufacture date “1/28/2010” and the length/weight “33.5/3.5oz” stamped. This comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (LH783617) authenticating that Pedroia broke this bat during the April 16th, 2010 game and a STICKER ONLY from Steiner Sports (159107) for the game use.
