The St. Louis Cardinals won the 1926 World Series in a fantastic seven game series, culminating when Babe Ruth was thrown out in the 9th inning of Game 7 when attempting to steal second base. This program is from Yankee Stadium where Games 1, 2 6 & 7 were played. The Cardinals’ took three of the four games played at Yankee Stadium. The pre-printed lineups include Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri, Combs, and Meusel for New York, and Hornsby, Bottomley, Hafey, and Alexander for St. Louis. This large format 9 ¼ x 11-inch program features portraits of each participant. This program is in good condition with moderate edge wear on the spine, a crease in the center and some loose pages, along with other wear marks present.
