Presented is a lot of four 1940’s-era New York Yankees World Series programs from Yankee Stadium. The first item in this lot is a 1941 World Series program book for the match-up featuring the host New York Yankees against the Brooklyn Dodgers. The 8¾ x 11¼-inch white paper program book is printed on white paper, with a fold down the middle of the book. The second item in this lot is a 1942 World Series Official Program from Yankee Stadium, for the match-up between the New York Yankees and the St. Louis Cardinals. The front cover of the 8¾ x 11¼-inch white paper program book features a painting of a boy in a baseball uniform buying war bonds. Please note that the centerspread is inscribed in black fountain pen on the scorecard pages. The third item in this lot is an official program for the 1943 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees from Yankee Stadium. The front cover of the 9 x 12-inch white paper program features illustrations of soldiers, sailors, airmen and other military listening to the radio broadcasts of a baseball game. The fourth item in this lot is an official program for the 1949 World Series between the visiting Brooklyn Dodgers and the host New York Yankees. The 8¾ x 11¾-inch white paper program features an illustration of both teams’ logos wearing crowns from their respective league championships.
