Cal Ripken, Jr. donned this batting helmet during his historic 1995 season. That year the world watched as Cal reached and then surpassed Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games played record. Ripken’s 1995 season batting helmet displays great game use. There are many scuffs and abrasions throughout and pine tar is present on the crown. The Orioles bird logo stick on the front is intact with some scuffing to its edges. Cal has signed the black brim in silver marker beside his orange number “8” sticker. The American Baseball Cap size 7 3/8 label, MLB and warning stickers are present with “95” handwritten in black marker on the size sticker. This helmet comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. for the game use and signature and a certificate from Beckett Authentication stating they witnessed Cal Ripken, Jr. signing this item.
