Cal Ripken, Jr. became a one-man offensive machine in the 1997 ALDS against Seattle. The Orioles legend went 7 for 16 against Mariners pitching for a stellar .438 average. His hitting was the catalyst that led Baltimore to a four-game sweep of the ALDS. The black Orioles cap has the oriole bird on the front in orange, black and white embroidery. The inside has the New Era tagging plus “7 3/8” size label and “Diamond Collection” tag. A white sticker with “030.001.003” has been affixed to the underside of the brim beside Ripken’s handwritten “8” and “Playoffs -vs- Seattle 97” in black marker. This post season gamer has been completed with a bold Ripken signature on the brim in silver marker. This cap comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. for the game use and signature and a certificate from Beckett stating they witnessed Cal Ripken, Jr. signing this item.
