The Orioles icon used this bat during the August 31, 1995 game against Oakland. Cal had two hits in the game, both singles off A’s starter Todd Stottlemyre. The Louisville Slugger P72 model bat shows great game use with a cracked handle. The barrel exhibits many ball marks that include ball scuffs and ink transfers. There is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle and both ends are scuffed from contact with the ground. A ring of white tape has been applied to the barrel upon which, “Todd Stottlemyre (illegible) 8-31-95” has been written in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. and PSA/DNA (1B19726) for the game use and has been given a very high grade of GU 9.5 from PSA/DNA.
