During the four seasons this bat dates to, Baltimore’s Iron Man, Cal Ripken, Jr., not only was in the midst of his pursuit of Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games records, but was voted to the All-Star Game every year and was awarded the Golden Glove for his work at shortstop. The two-tone Louisville Slugger P72 model bat shows great game use. The barrel displays many ball marks with white leather scuffs and stitch impressions. Cleat imprints are present as are bat rack paint streaks. A moderate coat of pine tar is on the handle and Cal has signed the barrel in matching gold marker. This bat comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. and PSA/DNA (1B19760) for the game use and has been given a very grade of GU 9.5 by PSA/DNA, plus a certificate from Beckett Authentication stating they witnessed Cal Ripken, Jr. signing this item.
