They are the first class of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. In 1936, the first five players were selected as the famed inaugural class and included Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Christy Mathewson and Walter Johnson. Offered here are set of five Official Major League Allan H. Selig stamped baseballs that have been individually hand-painted by noted artist Doo S. Oh, each with a member of that historic inaugural class of 1936. Each player’s detailed image appears on the north panel, depicting them with their most associated teams. On the sweet spot are their names handwritten in black and in all caps. These pristine baseballs come with a hard plastic 18 ¼ x 5-inch custom display that has the names of the class printed in white below the holders with (from left to right) “TY COBB BABE RUTH HONUS WAGNER CHRISTY MATHEWSON WALTER JOHNSON”. On the flat front piece is “BASEBALL HALL OF FAME – ORIGINAL CLASS OF 1936” in white with the National Baseball Hall of Fame logo on both sides. The display has a clear plastic 18 x 4 x 4-inch cover.
