Offered is James Stewart signed and hand drawn “Harvey” character collage incorporating a publicity photograph from the 1950 motion picture of the same name starring the Academy Award winning actor. Stewart signed his name “James Stewart” in black marker on the lower right and inscribed “Harvey” on in black marker on the lower left of an illustration (by the actor) of the invisible rabbit character from the acclaimed comedy-drama in black marker. The Stewart-signed and inscribed illustration measures 6 x 10-inch (visible) and is mounted at the left of a 14 x 20-inch black matte. Mounted at the upper right is a 7 x 9-inch sepia-toned photograph of Stewart in character as Elwood P. Dowd, looking at a portrait of the rabbit “Harvey” posed with Stewart as Dowd. Stewart was the star of both the 1944 Broadway play and the 1950 film “Harvey”, about a man, Elwood P. Dowd (Stewart) whose best friend is a pooka named Harvey, in the form of a six-foot, 3½-inch tall invisible rabbit that only he can see. This item comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
