Presented is a limited edition 1976 Joe Namath signed serigraph print of a Rick Rush painting of the Hall of Fame New York Jets quarterback. Namath signed his name in green marker in the lower center margin of the 22 x 31-inch print, which depicts Namath in his Jets uniform passing the ball with a Baltimore Colts defender to his left, arms upraised, while two game officials are in the background. The impressionistic oil painting by Rush, primarily in green and white, captures Namath in Super Bowl III, in which he led the Jets to an upset 16-7 victory. Namath was named Super Bowl MVP in the only, to date, Jets Super Bowl championship. The artist, Rush, signed his name in gray graphite pencil in the lower right margin and inscribed “76” after his signature. The print is inscribed “105/987” in gray graphite pencil in the lower left margin. This item comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
