Offered is a lot of two famous American artists of the 20th century with signed items, including LeRoy Neiman and Norman Rockwell. The first item in this lot is a Norman Rockwell signature in blue pen on the bottom of a 5 x 7-inch white cardstock letterhead, typewritten note from the American painter dated August 17, 1976. Rockwell is most famous for the cover illustrations of everyday life he created for “The Saturday Evening Post” magazine over nearly five decades. The second item in this lot is limited edition LeRoy Neiman signature in black marker on the first interior page of his 1980 book “LeRoy Neiman Posters”. Neiman, also an American artist, was known for his brilliantly colored, expressionist paintings and screen prints of athletes, musicians, and sporting events. He signed the 11½ x 16-inch book of posters for 29 “events of our times” including the World Series, the Newport Jazz Festival, the New York City and Boston Marathons, and other notable sports, music and public events.
