Simply put, Wayne Gretzky is the greatest hockey player to ever lace up the skates. Gretzky entered the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers, when four franchises of the WHA were absorbed into the NHL starting with the 1979-80 season. Gretzky’s impact was immediate as he would win the Hart Trophy, the NHL equivalent to the league MVP, eight straight years. The height of Gretzky’s career came with the Oilers, where he had four seasons of 200+ points, and won four Stanley Cup titles. Offered here is a CCM Edmonton Oilers size 54 blue air-knit road jersey that has been signed by Gretzky. All of the numbers have been sewn on in orange, blue and white tackle twill, with the Oilers logo crest sewn on the front. “GRETZKY” is sewn on in white tackle twill on a matching blue air-knit nameplate. “CCM” and the NHL logo are embroidered in orange, white and blue on the lower back left and right tails. The captain’s “C” is sewn on the upper left chest in orange, blue and white tackle twill. Gretzky signed his name in bold silver marker on the middle rung of the left “9” on the back and inscribed “99”.
