Presented is a Rick Rush signed “The Super Bowl Giants” framed, limited edition original serigraph by the artist. Rush has signed his name in gray graphite pencil in the lower right corner of the print and inscribed “87” after his signature. The serigraph is inscribed “373/410” in gray graphite pencil in the lower left corner. Rush’s painting, "The Super Bowl Giants," depicts some of the Giants stars who defeated the Denver Broncos, 39-20, for their first Super Bowl Championship and their first National Football League title since 1956. The game was played on January 25, 1987, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Rush has painted New York quarterback Phil Simms at the left center of the image handing off the ball to running back Joe Morris. Karl Nelson and Mark Bavaro are a few of the key players visible holding the offensive line. Simms was named the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player in the victory. For almost four decades, Rush has devoted his energies to painting the sporting life in America. His trademark sporting impressionism captures the spirit, as well as the technical accuracy, of sports events. The 22 x 28-inch serigraph is mounted in a red matte with navy-blue border and displayed in a 28½ x 34½-inch brown and white wood and glass frame. This item comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
