Offered is a vintage 1929 baseball championship trophy. The 21-inch-high silver metal and black plastic trophy features a 4-inch sculpted figure of a baseball pitcher with a glove on his left hand. The figure stands atop a 2-inch silver metal lid for the 12-inch silver metal trophy cup. That cup is mounted on a 3¼-inch hollow black plastic base. The cup is inscribed “A.I. B. Baseball Championship 1929 Won by Bank of Italy N.T. & S.A.” on the front. The reverse is inscribed with 14 names of the team in two columns, first initial followed by last name, starting with “N. Scardigli” and ending with “E. Kara” At the bottom of the two columns is inscribed “W. Hanley Mgr.” Please note that the lid with the sculpted figure comes off but it is not because of damage but by design.
