Already in the record books as baseball’s Iron Man, Hall of Famer Cal Ripken closed out his legendary career in 2001. When Ripken’s historic baseball chapter closed, he not only had the longest consecutive games streak, but also 3,184 hits, 431 home runs, 1,995 RBI and a solid lifetime batting average of .276. The two-time American League MVP, 1982 AL Rookie of the Year and 1983 World Champion used this Louisville Slugger P72 model bat during his final two seasons of his extraordinary career.

As one would expect from the hitting prowess of Ripken, this offered bat displays outstanding game use and has a crack in the lower handle. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuffs, cleat imprints and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel. There is a coating of pine tar on the handle. A truly wonderful gamer dated to the final two seasons of one of the greatest baseball careers of all-time. This bat comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany this bat, along with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19730) who have given this bat its highest possible grade of GU 10.
