Already in the record books as baseball’s Iron Man, Hall of Famer Cal Ripken closed out his legendary career in 2001. When Ripken’s historic baseball chapter closed, he not only had the longest consecutive games streak, but also 3,184 hits, 431 home runs, 1,995 RBI and a solid lifetime batting average of .276. The two-time American League MVP, 1982 AL Rookie of the Year and 1983 World Series Champion used this Louisville Slugger P72 model bat during his final two seasons of his extraordinary career.

As one would expect from the hitting prowess of Ripken, this offered Louisville Slugger P72 model bat used by Ripken that dates to the 2000-2001 seasons displays outstanding game use and has a crack in the handle. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuffs, cleat imprints and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. A truly wonderful gamer dated to the final two seasons of one of the greatest baseball careers of all-time. This bat comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany this bat, along with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B24134) who have given this bat a very high grade of GU 9.
