1985 was Cal Ripken Jr’s fourth full season in the Majors and he continued to establish himself as one of the premier shortstops in the game. With an American League Rookie of the Year Award, an AL MVP and World Series title under his belt Ripken continued to pound American League pitching in 1985 as he would finish the season with a solid .282 average, 26 home runs and 110 RBI while making his third straight All-Star Game selection. This offered Adirondack CR8 model bat was used by Ripken during the 1985 season and comes directly from his personal collection. This bat displays light game use and is un-cracked. Ripken’s number “8” is handwritten in blue marker on the knob. This bat comes from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany this bat. Additionally, there is a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B24156) for the game use and has been graded a GU 7.
