Graded NM-MT 8 (OC) by PSA. Hall of Famer. "Piedmont/350-460 Subjects" back. The fiercely competitive Ty Cobb displays what was no doubt a briefly held expression of passivity on this classic T206 tobacco insert card. His relatively quiescent portrait meshes eloquently with the card's tranquil but powerful aesthetic. On the face of this barely touched example, the likeness of the great hitter is refined in all aspects, with precise focus and lush red backgrounding. Although the card's image is positioned toward the right edge, the piece delivers marvelous overall visual appeal. The reverse side displays a bold advertisement. Near Mint to Mint condition (qualified as noted) with an estimable presence and quality of appearance.
