The well-traveled starting pitcher Tommy John wore this gray California Angels road jersey circa 1982-85. John joined the Angels midseason in 1982 from the New York Yankees and left the Angels in June of 1985. The 288-game winner won 24 games for the Angels, primarily as a starter on the wrong side of 40. John played MLB ball through the 1989 season, retiring as a New York Yankee at the age of 46. This offered Angels road jersey is a gray pullover, with “Angels” and John’s number “25” sewn on the chest in red and navy tackle twill. “JOHN” and a second “25” are sewn on the back of the jersey in red and navy tackle twill. A state of California logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. The sleeves and collar are accented with navy-red-navy bands. A Goodman & Sons size “46” tag is sewn on the front left tail. The jersey shows light wear and comes with a LOA from noted baseball game used jersey expert William Henderson.
